Rachael, the founder of Recovery Road, is a passionate Occupational Therapist with a decade of diverse experience. A proud graduate of Southern Cross University (2014), Rachael is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and is an active member of Occupational Therapy Australia (OTA).

Rachael is a certified specialist in assessing fitness to drive, holding a certificate in the Nationally Recognised Driver Training and Rehabilitation Program from the University of Sydney (2017). This expertise allows her to offer a unique and vital service for individuals affected by medical conditions, injuries, disabilities, or any circumstances that might impact their driving ability.
With a passion for enhancing both safety and independence, Rachael is dedicated to guiding clients and their families through the process of initiating or resuming driving in a safe and legal manner. Her comprehensive approach includes:
- Thorough Clinical Assessment: Evaluating physical, cognitive, and sensory capabilities relevant to driving.
- Practical On-Road Assessment: Conducted in partnership with a qualified driving instructor to assess real-world driving skills.
Tailored Driver Rehabilitation Program: When applicable, developing personalized strategies to overcome challenges and improve driving performance.
Since 2018, Rachael has been a dedicated NDIS provider, specializing in comprehensive support for participants across diverse needs and age groups. Her expertise in the NDIS space encompasses a wide range of services, including detailed functional capacity assessments, targeted capacity building interventions, and expert assistive technology assessments and recommendations. Rachael’s approach is holistic, considering the unique needs of each participant within their specific environment and life circumstances.
Recovery Road caters to a broad range of NDIS participants, including those with physical disabilities, psychosocial conditions, and individuals requiring urgent support to discharge from hospital or other acute settings. Rachael’s experience extends from paediatric through to geriatric demographics, ensuring tailored support throughout the lifespan.
